Virtual Industry Forum
On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, MDTA hosted a Virtual Industry Forum to share information about upcoming procurement opportunities for the Francis Scott Key Bridge Rebuild.
The forum provided an overview of the anticipated contracting approach for the rebuilding of the Francis Scott Key Bridge and discussed how upcoming work will be divided into multiple contracts. With design advancing past the 70% milestone, restructuring the procurements into multiple contracts will allow for greater competition within the contracting community, expand opportunities for the local work force and expedite the award of new contracts.
The Virtual Industry Forum included:
- Overview of anticipated contracting approach
- Details on the division of work across multiple contracts
- Q&A with MDTA representatives
